SMS & ITR

Texts that do the work — and hand off when they can't.

ITR (Interactive Text Response) turns a text thread into self-service: pay a balance, confirm a delivery, answer a survey, opt out. When a person is needed, the thread lands in an agent queue.

BUILD IT MONDAY. LAUNCH IT TUESDAY.

Two text flows, drawn the way they run.

A CPAP replacement reminder and a get-out-the-vote reminder, built from the same blocks: trigger, message, question, action, hand-off. Change a branch, relaunch.

  1. CPAP devices nearing end of service life
  2. SMS: device replacement notice
  3. Branch “no reply”: Single resend
  4. Outcome: no answer
  5. Evaluate reply
  6. Branch “1 or UPGRADE”: SMS: an agent will contact you
  7. Outcome: upgrade
  8. Branch “2 or KEEP”: SMS: usage guidelines reminder
  9. Outcome: keep
  10. Branch “STOP”: Opted out — number suppressed

What's in the text channel.

  • Two-way SMS on your numbers

Send and receive on a new or existing local DID, a toll-free number or a short code.

  • ITR self-service flows

Payments, refills, renewals, address changes, appointment confirmations and surveys — answered automatically.

  • Opt-out handling built in

STOP is honored automatically and the number is suppressed from the campaign.

  • Same logic engine as IVR

Build once, run on voice and text.

  • Reporting per campaign

Delivered, replied, paid and opted out — per campaign, next to your voice campaigns.

WHY TEXT

People pay the way they already talk.

  • They won't pick up. They will text back.

Anyone with young adults at home knows it: they avoid phone calls and text all day. Your customers are moving the same way — and they want to pay a bill the way they send a message.

  • Reminders work when they land on a phone.

For renewals, confirmations and add-on orders, the best response comes from a text or a call — not from an email that gets skimmed by subject line and left for later.

Questions we hear

Do you handle 10DLC / carrier registration?

Yes. Depending on the campaign, numbers are registered under AcuCall or under your own business documents. We register both toll-free and 10DLC numbers — and walk you through it before anything is sent.

What happens when someone replies with a question?

The flow sends an invalid-reply message: it says the answer wasn't one of the options and lists the replies it accepts, so the person can answer again.

Can we send to purchased lists?

Only with lawful consent for the kind of message you're sending. We'll help you check your list's consent basis before a campaign launches — and if the answer isn't good, we won't send.

Draw your first text flow with us.

Bring a real reminder, balance or GOTV list — we'll build the flow with you on the call.
